Community Involvement Committee (CIC)
The Community Involvement Committee (CIC) is our way of ensuring that our programs and services are aligned with the real life experiences and needs of our community members. We are currently looking for volunteers to be a part of the CIC). This committee consists of people from our community who currently use drugs, or who have a personal or family history of alcohol and/or other drug use. If you would like to contribute to the development of programs and services that affect you and your community, this is the committee for you.
ACON Rover Project
Are you interested in becoming an ACON Rover? Come and join a team of wonderful volunteers that are loved by the GLBT community. ACON recruits ACON Rovers regularly. Once you've been accepted into the program, you'll need to attend two evening training sessions as well as regular refresher training and supervision. To be an ACON Rover all you need are enthusiasm and great communication skills.
Needle Syringe Program (NSP) volunteer Health Educators
As an NSP Health Educator, you can work with people who access the Sydney NSP, ensure that our NSP contains up to date information, undertake stock control, sustain and develop new partnerships with our partner organisations and receive training and supervision.
