Substance Support Service

Substance Use

Got concerns or questions about drug and alcohol use?

The Substance Support Service is ACON's strengths-based service for members of the GLBT community.

The service was developed in light of the evidence that GLBT people are more likely to use a range of substances than their heterosexual peers, and that GLBT people often report feeling unsafe accessing mainstream drug and alcohol services.

The Substance Support Service provides a range of services for people in the GLBT community with problems around drug and alcohol use (including coexisting mental health issues), and their friends, partners and families.
