Mature Age Gays (MAG) was founded in 1991 by Steve Ostrow through an ACON project. MAG is a peer support, social and educational group targeting mature age men forty and up who have sex with men, regardless of how they choose to identify themselves.

MAG is in fact now the largest gay organisation in Australia. They meet on the second and last Saturday of every month at ACON. There is no age limit for members (some members are aged 20 - 30) but we focus on the needs of gay men over forty. Most MAG members would be between fifty and eighty, with some stalwarts over eighty.
