SWOP provides a number of services free of charge for sex workers.

• Safer sex supplies (including condoms, lube, dams and gloves)
• HIV/AIDS, STI and Hepatitis C information
• Health and workplace safety information
• Referrals to legal, financial and other services.
• Information workshops
• Counselling, advocacy and support
• Workers’ magazine and printed resources

Outreach is conducted both day and night to sex industry workplaces, including massage and full-service brothels, B&D houses, strip clubs, private workers, safe houses and street sex work locations.

SWOP also provides training to services providers, including sexual health services, WorkCover, needle syringe programs and NSW Police in order to improve sex workers access to these services and create better understanding of sex worker issues.

SWOP runs an information, support and referral service. We can meet many of your needs and answer a range of enquiries. Simply drop by the SWOP office or call our InfoDesk.

Counselling

Sex working or other sex industry work in NSW? Some work or life issues to sort out? SWOP offers free and confidential short-term counselling to anyone working in the sex industry. SWOP has a highly experienced counsellor who is particularly familiar with sex work issues. She can also provide you with referrals to other counselling and support services.
