Helping people in our community to look after themselves is what ACON is all about and Mardi Gras 09 kept us pretty busy doing exactly that. We'd like to thank everyone who contributed in any way to our Mardi Gras efforts this year and invite you to check out the photos and videos of us at work.

Our Prepare For Pleasure campaign encouraged locals and visitors to care about the health and safety of themselves and others, especially in relation to HIV, sexual health, homophobic violence and the use of alcohol and other drugs.

We presented a range of workshops and forums to help improve the health and wellbeing of various groups in our community.

As well as having a significant presence at Fair Day, we produced a variety of events including Hats Off, The Great Debate and BIG Bingay - At the Beach which raised over $50,000 for our work in the community.

And our float was once again the biggest in the Mardi Gras parade with over 350 staff, volunteers and supporters partcipating. The ACON Rovers and Safe Sex Sluts also attended all major Mardi Gras events to help people party safetly.

So, once again, our we're very grateful to everyone who helped us help others and we look forward to doing all again in 2010.
