Become A Volunteer Carer
Help people living with HIV/AIDS
Volunteers are the backbone of our home-based care service - we simply wouldn’t be able to provide it without them.
As a CSN volunteer you’ll be providing practical care and support that many people with HIV/AIDS find essential to maintaining an independent life in the community. Common activities you’ll be helping with are housework, shopping as well as other activities as discussed at your intake and assesment.
Sometimes you may assist a person living with HIV/AIDS who lives alone and doesn’t have a lot of social contact with others. At other times, you might be providing some greatly needed respite for the partner of a person living with HIV/AIDS. These situations vary a lot from person to person and the diversity is interesting and rewarding.
To apply for CSN training you must be:
- Aged between 18 and 70
- Willing to make a 6 month commitment of 2-4 hours a fortnight
