Family BBQ With Drumming + Dance

The amazing ‘Drum Beats’ percussion artists will be joining ACON's Women and Families Project for a fun packed interactive drum & dance session and BBQ at the Yarrabee Covered Picnic Area in Merrylands West.
Facilities at the park include an updated covered play ground with soft-fall for the kids, sparkling cascades and lakes with native wildlife. Plus there’s plenty of parking, and a free BBQ lunch will be provided.
How to get there
- Car - If going along the M4, take the Cumberland Hwy exit heading toward Fairfield/Liverpool. Turn left off the Cumberland Hwy onto Merrylands Road, Merrylands West. The entrance to the car park is on the right side of the road, opposite Jersey Road. Yarrabee Covered Picnic Area is just west of the car park entrance.
- Public Transport - Catch a train to Merrylands station (Penrith/Blacktown line), then catch the 811 or 815 ‘Westbus’ bus to 565 Merrylands Road at the corner of Yanco Street. The entrance to the park is approximately 250m up Merrylands Rd (heading west). Cost for the bus is $2 ($1 concession).
