Federal Government Approves Funding For The Treatment Of HIV Related Facial Lipoatrophy (FL)

Funding for the treatment of FL was announced in the May Federal Budget. Before the funding can be made available the Department of the Minister for health must make a ‘determination', or an official announcement that explains who is eligible, the allocation of Medicare Item Numbers that are used to set a fee and help people claim the fee back from Medicare.
