Difficulties with being fucked
Having problems with receptive anal sex (i.e. being fucked or “bottoming”) is a very common experience. Research with gay men in Sydney shows that nearly 40% have had this problem, while some overseas research shows that it may be even higher. For example, one study found that 62% had ever had this problem. One British study of gay men found that 31% of gay men avoided being fucked because it was too painful.
There are many reasons why it may be uncomfortable or painful to be fucked or have things inserted into your arse. These include not using enough lube, being stressed or anxious, and not preparing the area well enough beforehand.
