02/02/10 - Australian celebrities have come out in force today on the steps of the Sydney Opera House to launch a new national education campaign. The celebrities have joined forces with members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community to educate all Australians about 85 law reforms that will positively affect the lives of same sex couples.

The NSW Government has refused to act to remove discrimination against same-sex couples in adoption law. The government announcement came in response to a NSW Parliamentary report which found that the removal of discrimination against same-sex couples was in the best interest of children.
