The National LGBT Health Alliance surveyed the main political parties and key portfolio holders to find out about their commitment to these LGBTI health and wellbeing issues.

In NSW same-sex couples are currently not eligible to adopt. The Adoption Act is the last piece of legislation that directly discriminates against same-sex couples in NSW. Discrimination in adoption law does not serve the best interests of children. Clover Moore’s Adoption Amendment (Same-Sex Couples) Bill, if passed, will put an end to this unfair discrimination.

Is all love really equal? Marriage is defined in the Marriage Act as the "union between a man and woman". While sadly this legal definition has much conservative political support, it is surprising to discover that our new Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, shares such a sentiment.

Planning for the future of NSW’s gay lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) community will be the focus of a special community forum during this year’s Sydney Pride Festival. The forum will be the next stage of GLBT NSW 2020, a unique community initiative which aims to help shape the development of NSW’s GLBT community over the next 10 years.
