Shigella is a bacteria that causes a bowel infection. Shigella leads to fever, vomiting and diarrhoea and can be especially severe for people with HIV. It is spread by tiny particles of contaminated shit entering the mouth.

Rapid HIV Testing Goes Tropical In the Lead Up to The New Year

New William Yang Film To Help End HIV

The world premiere of 'Friends of Dorothy' - the latest film from award-winning artist and filmmaker William Yang, is set to be a special fundraiser to help end HIV transmission in NSW. It premieres in Sydney during Queer Screen's 2014 Mardi Gras Film Festival (MGFF) at a gala screening at the George St Event Cinemas on Wednesday 19 February.

World AIDS Day A Time To Focus On Ending HIV

We are calling on people to mark World AIDS Day (Dec 1) this year by joining in efforts to end HIV transmission in NSW by the end of the decade. ACON President Mark Orr says recent advances in HIV treatments and testing technologies has now made it possible to virtually eliminate HIV transmission in NSW by 2020.
