The C-Word

The C-Word

Who's it for?: Lesbians and same sex attracted women who have been diagnosed with cancer and their partners

The C-Word is a monthly support and information evening for lesbians who have been diagnosed with cancer, and their partners. The evenings have monthly topics and special guest presenters.

Testimonials

"The group has provided us with a safe space to talk about the impact of having cancer-  not only on me as the patient and now as a survivor but us as a couple." - Alison

"The needs of the carer may not seem AS important but I know that without the love, support and encouragement from my partner my ability to manage my journey would have been compromised." - Margaret

"The group gives us the freedom to express feelings and thoughts and not be judged." - Jean and Liz

"The C-Word Group is respectful to our relationship." - Sam and Julia

"The C-Word Group has shared HOPE and Encouragement for our future." - Tess and Annie

"Without the C-Word my sense of isolation would have been far more overwhelming. It is hard to describe the impact of sharing a space with other women, who have had similar experiences, and not have to worry about coming out and other peoples reactions." - Mika

"The C-Word has provided me with a safe space where I can be myself and speak honestly about my fears, pain and hopes." - Emily
