Safe Sex In Relationships

There are a range of reasons why lesbians and same-sex attracted women in relationships might continue to get tested for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) with their partner.

These include:

The health checks and STI tests provide peace of mind
The women in the relationship may not be able to agree on a set of guidelines for the sex they have within and/or outside of their relationship. This may present more risk of transmission of STIs
The women may be in the early stages of their relationship and want to ensure themselves and their partners are cared for
The women may be experiencing problems in the relationship
Either or both women may not be able to trust the other to be honest about potential risks
