The second edition of Satrang: South Asian Queer Film Festival will take place at the University of Technology, Sydney, over two weekends in September. The festival will kick off with the Australian premiere of yet-to-be-released Bollywood movie Dunno Y … Na Jaane Kyun (being tagged as India’s answer to Brokeback Mountain).

In Hong Kong, transgender individuals can undergo hormone therapy and a sex change operation subsidized by the government. It sounds like a dream to trans folks in other countries, where expensive sex change operations are not even included in most health insurance plans.

ConversAsians is a free once a week evening group starting Wednesday 18 August at ACON, and goes for 4 weeks (on Wednesday evenings). It's a chance for you to network, talk about identity, sex and sexual health, negotiating the gay scene and different types of relationships and friendships.
