We women often care for others before or instead of attending to our own needs. Caring well for ourselves, with our cycles and circuits of nourishing and being nourished, and our need for balance and rhythm in life in fact allows us to most fully care for others too. Individual and group therapy both provide a circumstance in which we can care for our self in this way.

Funding to Support Better Mental Health in GLBT Community

The NSW Government today announced $50,000 to support a new project aiming to increase the understanding of mental illness in the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) community. Deputy Premier and Minister for Health Carmel Tebbutt said the grant presented to ACON - formally the AIDS Council of NSW - would help fund early planning and scoping works for the ‘Peace of Mind’ project.
