Each year in July NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme is We All Stand On Sacred Ground- Learn, Respect & Celebrate.

NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

ACON’s Aboriginal Project will celebrate by having an outreach presence at the following locations:

• Wayside Chapel, Kings Cross. Wednesday 8 JULY
• Aboriginal Medical Service, Redfern. Thursday 9 JULY
